About the hotel
Domes of Elounda climbs the hillside above the Gulf of Mirabello, with the island of Spinalonga out in the bay. It is an all-suite and villa resort, part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, and it manages to be both properly family friendly and quietly stylish. Parents get space and calm, children get a club and a playground of their own, and couples have adults-only pools to retreat to.
Every suite and villa has either a private pool or an outdoor hot tub, along with a separate living area, which makes a real difference on a family holiday. There are several outdoor pools, one just for children, plus an indoor seawater pool in the Soma Spa, which also has a sauna and steam room. Dining ranges from steak and wine to fine Greek cooking, so evenings never feel repetitive.
