About the hotel
Daios Cove is built into the hillside around its own sandy bay, about ten minutes south of Agios Nikolaos on Crete's east coast. The sheltered water is calm and clear, which makes it lovely for swimming and gentle water sports. The resort is contemporary and spacious, and it works for honeymooners and young families alike, thanks to a kids club that takes babies from just four months old.
Suites and villas rise up the slope, many with a private pool and most looking out to sea. A typical day might begin with breakfast at the Pangea buffet, carry on at the beach or the main pool, and slip into a massage at the Kepos spa. There is a tennis court and a gym for the energetic, and three restaurants and three bars to choose between in the evening.
