About the hotel
Animal Kingdom Lodge is built around savannas where giraffes, zebras and antelope graze, and from many balconies you can watch them over breakfast. The thatched, African-inspired lobby, the guided evening animal viewing and the sounds of the savanna make it feel a world away from the theme parks. It is a favourite with families, especially children who love animals, and with anyone who prefers a calmer base.
Rooms are warm and cosy, and the savanna-view ones are the ones to ask for. Food is a highlight, with Jiko's African-inspired cooking, the big Boma buffet and Sanaa's views over the animals at neighbouring Kidani Village. There are two pools with waterslides and a splash area, and guests can use both. A bus links the lodge to the parks and Disney Springs.
