About the hotel

Monastero Santa Rosa clings to the cliff above Conca dei Marini, a small fishing village between Amalfi and Positano. Once a convent, it now has only twenty rooms, so it feels more like a private house than a hotel. Terraced gardens step down past the pool towards the sea. It suits couples and honeymooners after peace, good food and a proper rest rather than nightlife.

Rooms keep the thick walls and high ceilings of the old monastery, softened with antiques and fine linen, and most look straight out to sea. Lazy days pass between the infinity pool and the spa, with its sauna, steam room and treatment rooms, with a light lunch at the pool café. Il Refettorio serves dinner using herbs from the garden, and a shuttle runs down to the ferry and nearby beaches.
